February New Moon 2023

This New Moon presents herself here on the West Coast on Sunday, February 19th at 11:05pm PT.

New Moons are new beginnings and happen every month, so why do I encourage you to celebrate them every month?

I believe the New Moon allows us to reset and begin again. Each one beckons us to shake off the shame of what didn’t come to fruition and vision cast abundance over the new cycle ahead. Living by the moon is a divine journey and a love note from our Creator. Each cycle is associated with one of the 12 zodiac signs written in the stars. This ensures we are able to enjoy each sign’s specific type of New Moon energy once a year. The rhythm and flow are brilliant.

A Pisces New Moon is known to be a perfect time for reflection. This is the time of year we slowly start to emerge from winter hibernation and step into the magic of spring. Pisces energy is creative, emotional, and intuitive, so I encourage you to slow down and create space for introspection.

Personally, I've been holding on to a few BIG visions for a long time - deep soul yearnings of things I want to breathe life into. I've been feeling renewed energy and will be focusing on planting seeds to manifest opportunities and collaborators to help me move forward. Reconnecting with yoga, moving my body, and refreshing my meditation rituals are also on my mind this month.

As you rise out of hibernation and Spring begins to show herself, take a moment to reflect on what you want the year ahead to look like. Find a quiet, cozy spot, brew a cup of tea, grab your journal and a pen, and take some time to write.

Here are journal prompts to inspire your flow:

1: What have I been pushing myself into for too long that is time to let go? (This may be a project, a relationship that no longer fits, or a goal that isn’t really your own.)

2: What is one thing I will do this week to help me release this?

3: What do I want to work on this year? Look to your Guiding Word to inspire you…

4: What would I like to see come to life next year that I can start on now?

The seeds of intention you are planting now will come to life in the months and years ahead. Creating space for them to grow and dreaming about what you want your life to look and feel like definitely honors the New Moon energy swirling around. Revel deeply in this divine moment.

When you’re done, prepare a hot, salty bubble bath to soak in and cleanse yourself from any negative energy collected during this last cycle. If you have any moon water left from the last Full Moon, go ahead and add that to your bathwater. Be sure to intentionally stir the water clockwise while envisioning what you want the month ahead to look like! Read your intentions from your journal out loud and focus on the feelings you will feel when you accomplish what you are setting out to do.

If you are not called to a bathing ritual, switch it out for a nice, hot shower. Be intentional about washing and rinsing each part of your body.

Beloved, our lives are a balance between holding on and letting go… taking time to honor this is a gift.

Wrapping you in love and light,
