Dearest Moon Lover,

As the veil of night deepens and the quiet hush of November settles in, I’m feeling the sacred stillness of this New Moon. She arrives tonight, cloaked in mystery and deep wisdom. This is not a moon of noise or grandeur. She speaks in whispers, in intuitive pulses, in the knowing that lives beneath the surface.

This lunar moment is a call inward, into the fertile soil of the self. It’s a time to unearth what’s been buried, to plant new seeds of becoming, and to root into the silence that holds us steady. It’s a moon for deep listening, for shadow tending, and for honoring the parts of us that are still growing in the dark.

Three Women Who Walk With This Moon

1. Hecate – Keeper of thresholds, crossroads, and moonlit mystery. Hecate reminds us that wisdom often waits in the shadows. She helps us see in the dark, trust our intuition, and choose with inner clarity.

2. Lilith – Wild, untamed, unapologetic. Lilith calls us to reclaim what we’ve denied or exiled in ourselves. She holds fierce space for truth, boundaries, and self-sovereignty.

3. Mary Magdalene – Sacred heart, intuitive teacher, emotional alchemist. She reminds us that healing is holy, and that through devotion to our inner truth, we become whole again.

Ritual One: The Shadow Offering

Create a quiet space. Light a single black or dark-hued candle. Sit in stillness with your journal and write down all that feels heavy, hidden, or hard to hold right now. Let it come through freely.

Then, one by one, read each truth aloud and say: "I honor you. I release you." Burn or bury the paper in a fire-safe vessel or in the earth. Anoint yourself with vetiver or myrrh oil, and rest with Smoky Quartz or Black Tourmaline to ground.

Ritual Two: Heart Seed Intention

Begin by placing your hands over your heart. Breathe slowly and fully. Ask yourself: What new truth wants to take root in me? Write your answer on a small piece of parchment.

Create a small bowl or dish of soil, herbs like mugwort or lavender, and place a crystal such as Moonstone or Carnelian on top. Bury your written intention in the soil. Keep this altar through the moon cycle as a reminder of what you are tending.

Crystals, Herbs & Oils

  • Crystals:

    • Black Tourmaline – for protection and energetic clearing

    • Smoky Quartz – for grounding and gentle release

    • Moonstone – for intuition, new beginnings, and emotional flow

    • Carnelian – for courage, vitality, and creative ignition

  • Herbs:

    • Mugwort – for dreamwork, intuition, and ancestral connection

    • Lavender – for calm, clarity, and heart soothing

    • Sage – for purification and space clearing

    • Rose – for heart healing, self-love, and sacred beauty

  • Oils:

    • Myrrh – for spiritual depth and emotional release

    • Vetiver – for grounding and nervous system support

    • Sandalwood – for meditation and soul presence

    • Patchouli – for embodiment, sensuality, and root chakra anchoring

Reflective Journal Prompts

  1. What truth within me have I been afraid to voice, and what would it feel like to speak it aloud?

  2. Where in my life am I being called to choose myself more fully?

  3. What am I ready to release, not with force, but with sacred permission?

Grounding Mantra

"I trust the dark to reveal what the light cannot. I am safe, I am whole, I am becoming."

May this New Moon be a gentle descent into truth, and a sacred rising into your next becoming. I’ll be sitting in the dark with you, listening, releasing, and dreaming new roots into being.

With moonlight and devotion,

ree
