The Wild Heart of the Wolf Moon

Darling moon lover,

The first full moon of 2026 rises as a supermoon, luminous and near, known across ancient traditions as the Wolf Moon. She is doing more than lighting the sky; she is calling us inward... into our instincts, our clarity, and our sacred stillness.

She arrives wrapped in winter’s hush, carrying the medicine of sovereign stillness. This is not the stillness of retreat, but the kind that anchors truth. It is the breath before the sacred leap, the space where soul wisdom softens into clarity.

We are not meant to chase this year... we are meant to align with it.

As her light touches the earth, Artemis walks beside us, wild-eyed and free, reminding us that our clarity lives in our wildness. The Wise Crone sits near the fire, her gaze deep and quiet, whispering that the path reveals itself in the pause. Yemoja flows through our hearts, washing away what we no longer need and blessing us with emotional grace.

Tonight, I invite you into a simple, powerful ritual.

Brew tea with mugwort or lavender. Light a white candle and hold black moonstone, smoky quartz, or carnelian in your hand. Sit in silence. Feel yourself being breathed. Ask, “What truth is here for me now?” Then write. Let it be raw, messy, honest. Let it be enough.

When you're ready, take a slip of paper and write down what you are releasing - fear, self-doubt, anything that dims your wild fire. Dab your wrists with cedar or vetiver oil. Let your body make sound - a whisper, a sigh, a howl - whatever wants to rise. Burn the paper safely. Watch the smoke carry it back to the stars.

The herbs are here to walk with you... mugwort for inner vision, lavender for heart healing, cedar for release, vetiver for grounding.

Hold this mantra close to your heart:

“I honor the stillness within and the fire that waits beneath. I am the howl, the hush, and the holy.”

Let it echo through your bones.

Let it steady your breath.

And if you crave sound to hold your sacred space... Wolf Moon Playlist

This is your moon, your moment, your remembering.

Let yourself be aligned.

Let yourself be awakened.

Let yourself be wildly, wholly you.

Wrapping you in moonbeams,

If you don’t have cedar oil…Use:

  • Pine - carries similar earthy, protective energy, especially for connecting to nature and inner strength

  • Rosemary - purifies and brings mental clarity

  • Frankincense - spiritually grounding and helps open the crown

If you don’t have vetiver oil…Use:

  • Patchouli - earthy and grounding, wonderful for rooting into the body

  • Sandalwood - calms the nervous system and centers the spirit

  • Myrrh - deeply grounding and supports inner stillness and sacred space
