A Glimmer on Friday the 13th

Beloved,

Something delightful happened… and I couldn’t wait to tell you.

A couple of weeks ago, I received a message on LinkedIn from journalist Juliet La Sala at The Washington Times. She was writing a piece about Friday the 13th and wanted to include a perspective on its connection to the divine feminine.

You can imagine my smile.

Friday the 13th.

The Divine Feminine.

Reclamation.

It was an immediate soul-level, holy yes.

She sent her questions in advance:

  • How can people reclaim Friday the 13th instead of seeing it as a day of misfortune?

  • How is the day connected to the divine feminine in ancient traditions?

  • How can reclaiming the divine feminine shape our future?

I was intrigued that these questions were being asked by a conservative publication. I loved that this conversation is widening.

I sent in my answers… and then today, the article came out. (You can read it here.) I included my full answers at the end of this glimmer-filled note.

And here is the part that made my smile sparkle even brighter.

It opens with Taylor Swift and her love of the number 13.

She was born on the 13th.

She turned 13 on a Friday the 13th.

She has claimed it as her lucky number for years.

I had no idea she would be part of the piece. So imagine my delight seeing my quotes in the same article as Taylor Swift.

While I am not a full-blown Swifty, I absolutely appreciate her creative courage and the way she unapologetically owns what feels powerful to her.

There was something beautiful about that pairing.

Her reclaiming 13 in pop culture.

My perspective on 13 as our sacred feminine rhythm.

In the middle of everything happening in the world right now… the systems flaring and old paradigms crackling on the bonfire burning the patriarchy down… finding joy like this feels divinely aligned.

It feels like a glimmer, and I love glimmers.

A glimmer is that small flicker that lifts you.

The moment that makes you pause and smile.

The sign that whispers, pay attention.

For decades, 11 has been one of my glimmers. It still is. It shows up when alignment is near. It reminds me to stay awake and receptive.

And now 13 feels like an added layer. An expansion. A sacred circle widening.

Something sacred added…. that feels important.

If you feel called to celebrate today, let it be easy. You can pause to light a candle, place your hand over your heart, and take three slow breaths. Quietly acknowledge what feels complete, then welcome what is ready to emerge.

If journaling calls to you, here are a few gentle prompts:

  • What belief or pattern feels complete in my life right now?

  • Where am I being invited to trust my intuition more deeply?

  • How can I let this day serve as a portal for alignment and renewal?

Friday the 13th can be a day of fear, or it can be a day of reclamation.

You get to choose. And today, I am choosing joy.

Oh, and here is one more delicious piece of timing… a cosmic kiss, if you will.

2026 does not just have one Friday the 13th.

It has three.

February 13.

March 13.

November 13.

Three is the maximum possible in a calendar year.

Most years offer one or two, with an average of about 1.7 per year... and you can never have more than three.

This rare trio happens when a year begins on a Thursday in the Gregorian calendar, which is exactly how 2026 unfolded. The last time we experienced three Friday the 13ths was in 2015.

And here is the part that gave me chills.

2015 was eleven years ago. ELEVEN!

The next time this rare Trinity of 13s returns will be in 2037.

Eleven years from now.

Three 13s… held inside an 11-year portal.

If you know me, you know 11 has been woven into my life and work for decades. My alignment number. My ignition. My glimmer.

So seeing this sacred “13” year framed by 11 on both sides feels exquisitely woven.

This is not 13 replacing 11 for me… it is an enhancement, and an expansion.

Some patterns are coincidental, and some feel divinely timed.

This year feels like a blessing, and choosing to see blessings right now feels sacred.

So let me ask you…

What is your glimmer?

What flicker of light keeps showing up for you?

What invites you to lift your gaze and soften your shoulders?

Follow it.

Let it guide you.

Let it remind you that magic still moves.

Wrapping you in divine feminine glimmers,

Here are my full answers to Juliet's questions...

1. How can people reclaim Friday the 13th instead of seeing it as a day of misfortune?

Reclaiming Friday the 13th begins by meeting the day with intention rather than expectation. Instead of absorbing the collective narrative of fear, people can choose to slow down, turn inward, and treat the day as a sacred pause.

One simple way to reclaim it is through a gentle ritual. This does not need to be elaborate. Lighting a candle, placing a hand over the heart, and taking a few conscious breaths can immediately shift the energy. The intention is to acknowledge cycles, honor what is completing, and welcome what is ready to emerge.

Friday the 13th is especially supportive for reflection and release. It carries an invitation to soften, listen, and reconnect with intuition. When approached this way, the day becomes grounding rather than ominous, restorative rather than unsettling.

Journaling is another powerful way to work with the day's energy. A few thoughtful questions can transform fear into clarity.

Gentle journal prompts for Friday the 13th:

  • What belief, habit, or pattern feels complete in my life right now?

  • Where am I being invited to trust my intuition more deeply?

  • What would it feel like to see this day as protective and supportive rather than unlucky?

By consciously engaging with Friday the 13th, people reclaim their relationship with the day and uncertainty itself. The moment fear loosens its grip, the day reveals itself as a doorway to alignment, presence, and quiet empowerment.

2. How is Friday the 13th connected to the divine feminine in ancient traditions?

In many ancient cultures, Friday was associated with feminine deities, love, beauty, fertility, and creation. The number 13 was linked to lunar cycles, cyclical time, and womb wisdom. Together, they honored life as a rhythm rather than a straight line.

As patriarchal systems expanded, feminine-led spiritual traditions were diminished or erased. Intuition, embodiment, and cyclical ways of knowing were reframed as irrational or threatening. Misogyny did more than silence women… it disrupted humanity’s relationship with balance, compassion, and the natural world.

The fear surrounding Friday the 13th is a symptom of this larger imbalance. At its core, the day is not dark, it is deep. It carries the memory of a time when feminine wisdom guided communities through harmony with nature, relationships, and shared responsibility.

3. How can reclaiming the divine feminine shape our future?

Reclaiming divine feminine power is about restoring balance where dominance and control have ruled for too long.

Much of the unrest we see in the world today stems from systems built on hierarchy rather than connection, productivity over wellbeing, and power over empathy. When feminine energy and values are suppressed, societies lose their ability to nurture, listen, and heal.

Embracing a more matriarchal way of living does not mean women ruling over others; it means leading with compassion, intuition, collaboration, and care for future generations. It means honoring rest as productive, emotions as intelligent, and relationships as foundational.

The future becomes more prosperous when leadership is rooted in empathy. More sustainable when decisions are guided by intuition and wisdom, not fear. More humane when we remember that strength and softness were never meant to be opposites.

Celebrating the feminine is not about going backward; it is about evolving forward, into a world that values wholeness, balance, and shared humanity.

Never miss a magical moment...

Welcome to our circle!
