- A Love Note Beneath the Harvest Supermoon
I was sitting outside last night, and the Moon's glow felt so alive... It was pulsing with the energy of awakening, courage, and clarity. Tonight, she is no ordinary Full Moon... she is both the Harvest Moon and a Supermoon, illuminating our paths with amplified golden light and truth. This moon invites us into sovereignty. The kind defined by flow and freedom... The deep, embodied sovereignty of a woman who knows her essence. She moves in resonance with her truth, her heart, and her highest alignment. This kind of fiery energy stirs our inner warrior and calls forth action from a place of integrity. Under this brilliant light, we are reminded that claiming our power is an act of love. Here are a few rituals to consider as you honor this Supermoon... 1. Make Moon Water in Your Crystal Vessel Place a glass bowl or bottle of pure water beneath the moonlight outside (if possible), or on a windowsill where the moonbeams can touch it. Add crystals such as clear quartz for clarity, rose quartz for love, or carnelian for courage. Ways to use your moon water: Use it to make your morning coffee or tea Add it to a bath for emotional renewal Sprinkle it in your workspace or home for harmony Water your plants as an offering back to the Earth Whisper an intention as you set it out: "Infuse this water with the resonance of my truth and the sovereignty of my spirit." 2. Let Your Tools Soak in the Moonbeams Lay out your sacred tools, such as crystals, jewelry, card decks, journals, pens, or any other items you use in your Work. Allow them to bathe in the moonlight, cleansing and charging them with new energy. In the morning, bring them inside and say: "You are cleansed, charged, and aligned with my highest vibration." 3. Write a Love Letter to the Moon Find a quiet space, light a candle, and write a letter to Luna as if she were your most trusted confidante. Thank her for her guidance, share what you are ready to release, and speak your dreams into being. Not feeling creative, and still want to read a love note to the moon? Here is one for you: Dearest Moon, You have witnessed my evolution, my softening, and my rise. You’ve watched me shed skins I once clung to, and step into new chapters that both terrify and thrill me. I stand here now, somewhere between endings and beginnings... no longer who I was, not yet who I am becoming. Tonight, I release the stories that have dimmed my light and the fears that have held me small. I surrender anything that disrupts my resonance or clouds my sovereignty. I allow the ache of change to become a sacred rhythm, trusting that every unraveling is an opening. May your radiant glow cleanse me and remind me that transformation is sacred, and that this too is part of my becoming. With devotion and gratitude, Me 4. Learn from the Warrior Goddesses This Supermoon carries the essence of the divine feminine warrior... courageous, wise, and heart-led. Three goddesses guide us through this moon's fire: Artemis : This Greek Huntress of the moon and protector of the wild feminine embodies independence and intuition. Sekhmet : This Egyptian lioness goddess weaves fierce compassion, sacred rage, and truth as medicine. Athena : This wise Grecian strategist led with clarity and grace, teaching us that true power flows through alignment. Invoke them through movement, prayer, or stillness. Let their presence remind you that strength can be both tender and unyielding. A mantra to carry with you... I stand in the sovereignty of my light. My truth hums in perfect resonance with the cosmos. I am aligned, illuminated, and free. May this Harvest Supermoon awaken your inner flame, clarify your path, and remind you of the sacred rhythm that lives within you. You are not separate from the Moon’s brilliance... You are a reflection of it. Wrapping you in moonbeams,
- Embracing the September Full Blood Moon
The September Full Blood Moon is here, and wow… she’s coming in strong. Even though we won’t see the eclipse (it’ll be hidden from our North American skies), we’ll definitely feel it. Even though we are not able to watch her turn red, her energy will be touching every part of us. The moon always has a way of working her magic, seen or unseen. This Full Corn Moon feels like a big exhale. A release. A chance to drop the heavy stuff we’ve been carrying and step into something lighter, freer, more aligned with who we actually are. Think of this full moon as a call to surrender... to let go of what no longer feeds you. It’s about truth, clarity, and transformation. With the eclipse energy woven in, there’s this extra nudge to trust that endings are sacred, disguised beginnings. Word of the moon: LIBERATION . (Simply saying the word out loud feels sooooo good!) Here are some of the elements supporting me that you may want to incorporate: Crystals: Labradorite for transformation + intuitive guidance Smoky Quartz for letting go of fear and heaviness Rose Quartz for softening into compassion and self-love Oils and Herbs: Mugwort → dreamwork + intuition Sage → clearing old energy Cedarwood oil → grounding + steadying Rose oil → tender self-love Rituals to choose from: 1. Release Fire Ritual Write down what you’re done carrying. Light a candle. Burn your list safely, whispering: “I release what is no longer mine to carry. I rise in liberation.” Bury the ashes in the earth. 2. Eclipse Dream Ritual Slip mugwort or lavender under your pillow with a crystal (labradorite or smoky quartz). Set an intention for clarity before sleep. In the morning, jot down dreams, symbols, or feelings that came through. I love weaving women into my monthly ceremonies. So many of their stories have been forgotten or demonized over the years... Here are three to learn about this month! Persephone: Persephone is the goddess who journeys into the underworld each year, reminding us that descent is part of the cycle of life. She teaches us that even in darkness, seeds are planted and transformation is quietly happening. Her story is one of rebirth, resilience, and the wisdom that comes from walking between worlds. Kali Ma: Kali Ma is the fierce mother goddess who clears away illusion and fear, making space for truth to rise. Though her energy can feel wild and intense, she is ultimately the liberator, breaking chains and protecting what is sacred. She invites us to face what must end so that new life can flourish. Sojourner Truth: Sojourner Truth was a courageous abolitionist and women’s rights advocate who spoke with unwavering strength. She reclaimed her voice in a time when women, especially Black women, were silenced, and she used it to ignite change. Her legacy is a living mantra of courage, justice, and the power of truth-telling. A magical mantra to weave into your days: “I release with love, I rise in alignment, I walk in freedom.” Journal prompts to inspire reflection... What weight am I finally ready to set down? Where am I being called to walk more in truth? How can I honor both the endings and the new beginnings unfolding now? Beloved, this moon isn’t asking for perfection... She’s asking you to let go of what’s heavy and trust that freedom is waiting on the other side. Even though we can’t see her eclipse, we’re still in it. We’re still shifting. You’re aligned, you’re awakening, and you’re free. With love under this moon,
- Alignment in Motion: New Moon, Eclipse, and Equinox Reflections
Beloved, As I write this under our Creator's misty sky here in Sonoma, I feel the divine braid of energy formed by three sacred threads weaving together right now: the New Moon, the Partial Solar Eclipse, and the Autumnal Equinox. Each one brings its own invitation, its own medicine... and together they form a tapestry urging us toward balance, renewal, and clarity. I want to share what I’m hearing, what I’m feeling, and invite you to honor this moment alongside me, as you wish, in whatever way calls you home. Let me share a bit about each event... This New Moon's energy is earthy, precise, devoted... and invites us to tend to what is unseen: our routines, our inner criteria for worth, our relationship to service and healing. It whispers... this is a time to get honest with yourself about what you really need, what you keep doing out of habit rather than heart, and what subtle refinements would bring more ease, more sanctity, more sovereignty. It asks for discernment, sacred dedication, and aligned integrity... and reminds you that perfection is not the goal. Now, for the Partial Solar Eclipse... An eclipse magnifies shadows, bringing old patterns to light. With this partial Solar Eclipse, there is potent power in release, particularly of perfectionism, unworthiness, and the old stories that say you are only enough when you are flawless. It’s a portal, a time when what you’re ready to leave behind can drop away more easily. Use its strength. It also asks for patience, because transformations begun under eclipse energy ripple forward in time. And finally, our beloved Autumnal Equinox. Here comes balance, light and dark in equilibrium, the shift from summer’s abundance to autumn’s harvest, and the slow shift inward. The Equinox asks us to pause, to gather, to reflect on what has ripened, what has fallen, what needs gathering in, and what needs letting go. It reminds us of cycles: growth, bloom, decay, rest. It is a threshold itself, the pivot from outward light toward shadows, a gentle reminder that the harvest is not only in the fields but in the soul. As I reflect on the common threads of these events and the message they bring, here is what is coming to me: Balance between light & shadow : The Equinox and the eclipse both heighten this tension. The New Moon helps us see what we’ve been hiding or ignoring. Harvest & release : This is the season of harvesting. We are now harvesting what has been sown... habits, beliefs, relationships. The Equinox underscores release. The eclipse amplifies letting go. Integrity over perfection : The New Moon reminds us that our desire for perfection, when held lightly, becomes a guide rather than a shackle. The eclipse shakes up rigidity. The Equinox reminds us that what matters most is truth, not polish. Thresholds & new beginnings : The New Moon and Eclipse open doorways. The Equinox signals a turning, a shifting of seasons, of perspective, of pace. Refinement & inner work : All three call us deeply inward. To sift, sort, prioritize, and align with what is soulful. A collective reminder to breathe. Three women who represent different aspects of this seasonal shift are on my mind right now... Demeter: Goddess of harvest, of cycles, of life’s rhythms. As Virgo connects to harvest and purification, Demeter’s story reminds us to honor cycles of loss and return, of letting go and then finding strength again. Persephone: Queen of the Underworld and springtime’s return. She straddles worlds... light and dark, life and death, descent and rebirth. Her journey mirrors the eclipse’s descent into shadow, and the Equinox’s equal day and night before the tilt into darker months. Persephone is Demeter's daughter... and their story holds every emotion. Hypatia: Mathematician, philosopher, teacher. A symbol of intellect and devotion to clarity, truth, and wisdom, even when the world pushed against her. Her essence reflects what these energies call forth... refinement, truth, and fierce grace. A mantra to hold close: “In perfect imperfection, I stand in my truth, rooted in balance, open to transformation.” Here are a couple of rituals to choose from... 1: Harvest & Release Lanterns Create a simple space to reflect. Gather a candle or two, some fallen leaves (or paper), and any crystals you’re drawn to. Take a few quiet moments to breathe, ground, and reflect. With paper and pen, write down what you’re ready to release, old habits, inner criticisms, outdated stories, as well as what you feel deep gratitude for in this season of harvest. When you're ready, tear or burn the leaves/paper safely and place the remnants into a bowl of water, letting them dissolve. Light a lantern or candle as a symbol of what you now choose to call in, and speak your new intentions aloud. Close your ritual with a word of thanks to the moon, the season, the Divine, or your own sacred self. 2: Equinox-Minute Meditation + Body Alignment Find a comfortable seat, ideally facing East. Imagine golden light above you and the grounding earth below. Begin a breath rhythm, inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4, and repeat until you feel centered. Let your body move in whatever gentle ways it needs, stretch, sway, twist, or rest. Use an essential oil like cedar or frankincense to anoint your pulse points, letting the scent guide you inward. Hold your chosen crystals and whisper the mantra, allowing it to settle into your body and spirit. Crystals, Herbs & Essential Oils that I am exploring... Crystals: Moss Agate, Moonstone, Smoky Quartz, Citrine Herbs: Rosemary, Sage, Mugwort, Lavender Essential Oils: Frankincense, Cedar, Sandalwood, Vetiver Here are a few reflective journal prompts... What have I harvested this season (within, around me, in my work, relationships, spirit) that I want to deeply acknowledge and give thanks for? What stories or beliefs have I carried that now feel heavy, unnecessary, or misaligned with who I am becoming... and what would it look like to release them? As I move into balance between the light and the dark, what strengths can I bring forward that may have been hidden, undervalued, or even shamed... with gentleness and courage? Tonight, I plan to light a candle by my window, hold my Moss Agate in hand, and make space to write what this cycle has taught me... especially about where I am still chasing perfection or allowing hustle to lead and how I can instead step into flow and trust . I’ll breathe in the Equinox’s balance, feeling dusk and dawn poised, imagining my heart held between them. And even though I won't be able to see the eclipse’s shadow here in Sonoma, I’ll offer gentle release to old self-judgments. I’d love for you to join me in whatever way feels sacred, whether you light a candle for yourself, take a moment under the divine sky, journal by lantern light, or simply whisper the mantra into a mirror. You and I both deserve the medicine available in this powerful alignment. With love and starlight...
- Fire Meets Earth: My Birthday and the Virgo New Moon
Today, I stand at the threshold of a sacred convergence: my birthday and the Virgo New Moon - a celestial duet of renewal and radiant becoming. I couldn't imagine not sharing this moment with you, my beloved soul circle. Consider this a love letter from my heart to yours. The New Moon always invites beginnings. But this one? It’s personal. Virgo, the high priestess of the zodiac, governs this lunation. She speaks in sacred patterns, gentle refinement, and earthy rituals. - Aligned and Ascending... A Love Letter for Lion’s Gate 8/8
Hello, Beloved. The portal is opening... can you feel it? Lion’s Gate is upon us, and with it comes the golden, sacred pulse of 8/8, an invitation to remember who you truly are. This is no ordinary day - it is a threshold, a divine heartbeat between what has been and what is becoming. The radiant Sirius star aligns with the Sun in Leo, and the cosmos speaks in the language of light and infinite possibility. You, my love, are being called into the fire of your becoming. This moon - glowing in visionary Aquarius - is not here to coddle... she’s here to awaken. She lights the sky not only to illuminate but to liberate. So let us meet this moment together, hearts bare and spirits bright. Our Mantra for the Days Ahead “I align with infinite abundance, awakening my soul’s truth and radiant purpose.” Say it softly into your palm. Whisper it into your morning tea. Sing it to the wind. Let it infuse you. Journal Reflections for Your Sacred Unfolding What dream is rising in me now, ready to be claimed beneath this Lion’s Gate sky? What am I prepared to lovingly release into the moonlight... to make space for the life I was born to live? How might I be more of myself - wild, soft, sovereign, and seen? Rituals to Hold You Choose one... or let your soul lead you into both. 1. The Fire and Flow Ceremony At sunset on 8/8, light a gold candle and write down the fears that have kept your wings tucked in too tightly. Speak to them kindly, then release them into the flame. As they burn, whisper your new truth. When the ashes are cool, offer them to water - a bowl, a river, your garden - and let the earth transmute your prayer. 2. The Solar-Lunar Blessing Place citrine or clear quartz in the sun on Lion’s Gate morning. Let them drink in the solar fire of Leo. That night, under the full moon, lay them out again beneath the stars. This is the marriage of courage and clarity, fire and water, solar power and lunar wisdom. Sit with your stones, hand to heart, and speak your intention out loud. Feel it echo in your bones. Spiritual Allies for the Portal Days Crystals : Citrine for joy and magnetism, Clear Quartz for clarity and spiritual focus, Aquamarine for flow and release Herbs : Calendula petals for golden strength, Lavender for calming grace, Rosemary for sacred remembrance Oils : Frankincense for higher guidance, Myrrh for grounding your sacredness, and a drop of Wild Orange for vitality and sweet courage A Final Blessing, From My Heart to Yours Lion’s Gate is a remembrance. This is about reclaiming your worth and stepping into the center of your own story... not ego or performance. Theme of Alignment: Radiant Authenticity This New Moon asks: What is your most authentic voice? What spark within you is waiting to be voiced, danced, or shared? Archetypes for Radiant Becoming These divine figures inspire us to stand true: Freya – Norse goddess of love, bravery, and creative power. She calls us to claim our desires without shame, to lead with the fierce heart of a warrior, and to honor both beauty and boldness in our pursuits. Hathor – Egyptian goddess of celebration, sensual expression, and sacred femininity. She invites us to dance, to nourish joy, and to remember that pleasure is a path to power and presence. Sekhmet – She embodies Leo’s solar fire. She teaches us how to transmute anger or suppression into action and healing. She's about sacred rage becoming sacred leadership . Sacred Mantra for Leo’s Light “I roar gently from my truth. I radiate creativity and courage.” Repeat under the night sky (or throughout your day) until the vibration settles into your bones. As you plant this moonlit seed, know that its roots will follow where your truest aim is set. This is the energy of radiant authenticity... of being seen, heard, and lived fully. No apologies. No hiding. You are ready. You are worthy. The stage is yours. With fierce love & golden moonlight, D
- Harnessing the Full Buck Moon’s Energy for Focused Growth
Beloved, The Full Buck Moon rises on Thursday, July 10, 2025, reaching peak illumination at 1:37pm PT. Here on the West Coast, we find ourselves in summer, a season of ripening. Spiritually, this moon arrives with a grounded, clarifying energy. It invites us to reflect on what we're growing and whether our daily choices support that growth. It's a moment to align intention with action. These are the crystals I've gathered to help anchor the theme of purposeful growth... Hematite – Grounds scattered energy and strengthens focus. A steady companion for big decisions. Pyrite – Ignites ambition and confidence. A great stone for setting bold, heart-aligned goals. Smoky Quartz – Helps release old fears and patterns, making space for meaningful progress. Here are some essential oils and herbs you can incorporate... Essential Oils : Cedarwood (stability), Frankincense (spiritual clarity), Patchouli (grounded release), Rosemary (mental focus) Fresh Herbs : Pine (grounding), Rosemary (insight), Sage (cleansing) As you sit with this moon’s energy, you might try one of the following rituals to anchor your intentions... Grounding Goal-Setting Altar : Gather stones, herbs (like rosemary or pine), your chosen crystals, and a candle. Write down one commitment you want to honor this season. Read it aloud as you light the candle, and place it beneath a stone to symbolize rooting it in reality. Release & Anchor Bath : Draw a bath and add a few drops of grounding essential oils like cedarwood, frankincense, or patchouli, along with rosemary or pine. As you soak, visualize fears or doubts dissolving into the water. Place Hematite or Smoky Quartz nearby, and affirm your readiness to focus and follow through. To deepen your reflection during this moon, try journaling with these prompts: Which commitments nourish me, and which feel outdated? How can I bring more focus to what truly matters right now? What vision am I ready to build from a place of love and clarity? And if you’re seeking guidance from sacred feminine archetypes, these three have felt especially present to me... Demeter - Goddess of harvest and mothering; she teaches us the rhythm of tending and reaping. If you're a wine enthusiast, grab some fresh bread, pour a glass, and savor it as you learn about her! Hecate - Guardian of crossroads; a powerful presence when choosing a new direction or honoring a transition. Hera - Queen of the heavens and protector of sacred commitments; she invites us to honor devotion, both to others and to ourselves, as a divine act of sovereignty. Let this simple mantra guide you through this moon cycle: “I build with heart and clarity. My purpose is rooted, real, and radiant.” Say it aloud as you set your altar, as you sip your morning tea, or as you walk beneath the moonlight. Let it remind you that even in the wild energy of midsummer, your inner compass can always find true north. Here’s to recommitting to what matters most... without rush, without apology. - Sacred Soil & Starry Seeds * June New Moon 2025
Today is the June New Moon! My schedule was wild today, and I am looking forward to a quiet night to honor the start of a new lunar cycle. New Moon Blessing May this sacred New Moon cradle your intentions with grace. As the sky darkens, may you be reminded that the void is not empty - it is rich with potential. May your dreams take root in this fertile stillness, and may your heart trust the becoming, even when nothing is yet visible. You are aligned, you are supported, you are already becoming. New Moon Mantras I plant my dreams in sacred soil. I trust the darkness to nourish them. In the quiet, I remember who I am becoming. New Moon Ritual Ideas 1. Wish on a Dandelion Ritual Hold a dandelion puff or a symbolic object (a white feather, a paper star, or even a pinch of herbs). Whisper your wish into it. Feel it take shape in your heart. Then, release it into the wind (or burn it safely, if indoors) as a symbol of surrendering control and trusting divine timing. 2. Candle + Intention Jar Ritual Light a small black candle (for the New Moon) and write down 1–3 soul-aligned intentions on slips of paper. Fold them and place them in a jar with herbs (lavender for peace, rosemary for clarity, or basil for abundance). Each New Moon, revisit the jar, add new wishes, or reflect on those already in motion. Beloved, may this sacred New Moon cradle your intentions with grace. As you move through this evening and into the next lunar cycle, may you feel the quiet hum of possibility stirring beneath the surface. Breathe in trust, exhale doubt. You are wrapped in love, guided by your own inner wisdom, and held by the rhythm of the cosmos. Sending stardust your way, D
- The Radiance of the Summer Solstice
A Celebration of Light, Life, and the Sacred Feminine On Friday, June 20, 2025, the Summer Solstice arrives at 1:50pm PT / 4:50pm ET, marking the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This solar threshold is both a culmination and a beginning - a sacred pause in the wheel of the year when we are invited to bask in the fullness of light, honor what is blooming in our lives, and gather our energy for the second half of the year. Across time and cultures, the Summer Solstice has been honored as a sacred moment. Spiritually, it invites us to: Illuminate what was once hidden, within and around us Expand into our fullest expression Celebrate abundance, growth, and creative power Embody the Divine Feminine in all her radiant, sensual, wise glory This is the season of thriving, blooming, and shining. The fire within and around us is strong. We are being called to live fully awake, to honor the sacred spark of life and let it guide us forward. The sun is often symbolized as masculine, but powerful feminine figures across traditions have long been associated with light, midsummer, and abundance. Here are fierce females you may wish to honor: Amaterasu (Japan) - The Shinto Sun Goddess who brings light back to the world. Her story reminds us that even in times of retreat, we are always worthy of rising and shining again. Sekhmet (Egypt) - A lion-headed solar goddess of transformation, fierce compassion, and healing. She embodies the power of fire to both destroy and purify. Demeter (Greek) - The Goddess of harvest and fertility. Her myth reminds us of cycles, mothering, and the deep wisdom of the seasons. Sulis (Celtic) - A solar goddess linked to sacred healing waters. She merges fire and water, strength and gentleness. Litha (Anglo-Saxon) - The name of the Midsummer festival, often personified as a radiant queen of warmth and life. You may also wish to call in the energy of historical women who embodied fierce feminine fire, such as visionaries, rebels, and healers like Hildegard of Bingen, Sojourner Truth, or Dolores Huerta, whose legacy still burns brightly. Here are soulful, meaningful ways to celebrate this sacred solar turning: Welcome the Sun: Rise early to greet the sunrise or find stillness at sunset. Offer gratitude. Whisper a prayer. Let the light bathe you in blessings. Create a Fire Ceremony : Write down what you’re ready to release - or amplify. Safely burn your words in a fire or candle flame to symbolize your transformation. Decorate Your Altar : Adorn your sacred space with sunflowers, golden candles, citrus fruits, solar symbols, and offerings to summer goddesses. Include herbs like chamomile, calendula, and lavender. Move Your Body wit h Joy: Dance barefoot on the earth, practice sun salutations, or take a slow, mindful walk. Let your body feel the season. Host a Solstice Feast : Share a vibrant, seasonal meal with loved ones. Include fresh berries, garden herbs, and golden-toned foods. Bless your meal with intention. Weave a Flower Crown or Herbal Wreath : Use fresh blooms to create a crown or wreath - symbols of abundance, wholeness, and the feminine cycle. Reflective Journal Prompts Pause and ask yourself... What is blooming in my life right now? Where am I being called to shine more brightly? What am I ready to release or transform as the light begins to wane? Beloved, the Summer Solstice is more than a seasonal shift. It is a remembrance of your own radiance. You are part of this sacred cycle. You are the sun, the bloom, the fire, the fullness. Let this be a moment to stand boldly in your light, celebrate your sacred journey, and welcome the season of vibrant becoming. Shine on. The world needs your light. - Friday the 13th: A Sacred Invitation to Rebalance
Today, we greet another magical Friday the 13th. This is a date long misunderstood, wrapped in superstition and fear. However, the truth is that this day was once revered as a powerful celebration of the Divine Feminine... of lunar wisdom, sacred cycles, intuition, and inner knowing. (Read more of my thoughts on this day here and here .) In a world that feels increasingly divided, heavy, and disconnected… we are being called back into balance. I know so many people in my Country are craving unity, and the Earth is crying out for restoration. Beloved, it begins with us - in our homes, hearts, and relationships. Friday the 13th is not a curse... It’s a blessing. It's a portal. It's a powerful pause. It ’s a chance to reclaim softness without weakness. To choose compassion without collapsing. To honor the feminine energies of nurturing, collaboration, intuition, and healing, in ALL beings. Let’s rewrite the narrative around this day together. Here are ways you can honor the sacredness of Friday the 13th: Light a Candle for Balance Choose two candles - one representing the masculine (sun/fire) and one the feminine (moon/water). As you light them, set an intention to bring harmony into your own being and your relationships. Create a Divine Feminine Altar Gather symbols of softness and strength: flowers, shells, moonstones, images of women you admire, or items from nature. Let this be a visual prayer for healing. Have a Sacred Conversation at Home Invite your family or close circle to talk about what balance means. Ask questions like: How can each of us honor both strength and softness, structure and flow, action and rest? Play Music that Heals Curate a playlist of songs by women who inspire you. Let their voices guide you back to your heart and your power. (Need ideas? I’ve got a list! ) Write a Love Letter to the Feminine In yourself, in your lineage, in your community. What do you want to honor, reclaim, or heal? Connect with the Moon Tonight Even if you can't see her, the moon is always with us. Step outside, close your eyes, and breathe. Ask what she wants you to remember today. Scroll through the blog and invest time preparing one of the sacred rituals... Beloved, healing starts with us. We don’t have to wait for the world to change. We are the ones who start the ripple. When we reclaim the sacred, we change the narrative. So today, on this beautiful Friday the 13th, let’s soften. Let’s remember. Let’s heal. Let’s call in wholeness for ourselves, our homes, and the collective. Blessed Friday the 13th, Sacred One. May your day be full of love, ritual, and remembrance. Wrapping you in so much love, D Photo by Ranurte on Unsplash
- The Sweetness of Becoming: Strawberry Moon Reflections
This month's Full Moon, known as the Strawberry Moon, will grace us in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, June 11th. She will rise all evening and reach her height at 12:44am Pacific Time. Everything I'm reading suggests she will be low in the sky... and could actually have a reddish glow, due to her position and the haze from wildfires. Named for the wild strawberries ripening this time of year, this Moon signals a turning point in the seasonal wheel... a moment of sweet abundance, magical possibility, and joyful expansion. Spiritually, this full moon invites us to savor life’s pleasures, open to delight, and align ourselves with the vibrant energy of blossoming joy. Theme of Alignment: Radiance This month, inside my wise community of women ( Red Threads Collective ) , we gather beneath June’s untamed energy to ignite a new story... one that honors every part of who we are and who we’re becoming. We are rewriting the narrative of midlife: cracking open the old scripts of invisibility and limitation and replacing them with the truth of who we are... Unapologetically Wild, Wise, and Whole . The Strawberry Moon mirrors our reclamation and our soul's craving for peace and play. It encourages us to shine without shrinking, to soften without surrendering our truth, and to live in full bloom. This is not a season of unraveling, but of unleashing . Let this be your invitation to realign with your radiant self. To trust your knowing... and return to joy as a sacred, embodied birthright. Crystals for Aligned Radiance These radiant secret keepers help magnify joy, vitality, and sensual connection... Carnelian (red) : Boosts vitality, passion, and creativity. Sacred Rituals for Radiant Alignment Take some time today to choose a ritual that helps you anchor in joy, release hesitation, and welcome the delight of this season... or do both, like I will. There are no rules here! Strawberry Radiance Anointing Blend a few drops of essential oils with a summer vibe into a carrier oil. I will be using lavender, lemon, and rose. (Don't have essential oils? Honey or even a mashed-up strawberry will do!) Anoint your wrists, heart center, and solar plexus. Hold a strawberry in your hands and speak an intention for joy aloud. Eat the strawberry slowly, savoring the sweetness as a symbol of what you’re calling in. Firelight Celebration Circle Light a fire (or a candle) outdoors under the moonlight. Surround it with fresh flowers - especially red, orange, pink, and yellow. Write down something you’re proud of and something you're ready to joyfully release. Burn the paper as a sign of gratitude and transformation. Dance, drum, or sing if you feel called. Essential Oils + Herbs for the Strawberry Moon Essential Oils : Lavender (heart-warming), Rose (harmony), Sweet Orange (joy), Patchouli (grounded celebration), Lemongrass (energizing) Herbs + Botanicals : Strawberry leaves (for love + luck), Calendula (for abundance), Lemon balm (for radiant peace) Reflective Journal Prompts for Radiant Alignment Let these questions guide your inner reflection under this moon's playful glow... - Full Flower Moon in Scorpio: Embracing the Alchemy of Transformation
On Monday, May 12, 2025, the Full Flower Moon in Scorpio graces the sky, reaching its peak at 12:56 p.m. This moon’s energy will be potent and visible from Sunday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 13 - giving us a beautiful three-day window to honor her deep, mysterious glow. The Flower Moon represents abundant blooming, yet this year’s Scorpio influence invites us not just to admire the blossoms, but to tend to the soil of our soul. Scorpio, a sign of emotional depth, transformation, and rebirth, calls us inward. It’s time to release what’s wilting within so we can nourish what’s ready to bloom. Theme Word: Alchemy This moon’s medicine is alchemy - the sacred process of transforming emotional lead into spiritual gold. Scorpio’s energy urges us to transmute pain into wisdom, fear into power, and old stories into new beginnings. Crystals to Work With These crystals will support your inner journey and energetic alignment during this moon: Obsidian – For protection, truth-telling, and shadow integration. Labradorite – A mystical stone that strengthens intuition and reveals hidden patterns. Smoky Quartz – Grounds your energy while aiding in detoxifying emotional baggage. Moonstone – Encourages surrender, emotional balance, and divine feminine connection. Place them on your altar, carry them in your pocket, or hold them in meditation. Sacred Rituals for the Scorpio Full Moon Choose one (or both) of these sacred practices to align with the energy of alchemical transformation. 1. Shadow Soaking Ritual What you need: A bath or foot soak, dried or fresh sage, lavender or rose petals, 10 drops of vetiver or patchouli essential oil, and a black candle. How to do it: Light the black candle to represent your inner flame of truth and resilience. Add the sage, lavender or rose petals, and essential oils to warm water. As you soak, imagine the water drawing out heavy emotions, limiting beliefs, and outdated stories — all dissolving and being transmuted by the Earth. Whisper or reflect: “What am I ready to transmute? What weight no longer belongs to me?” Allow the steam and scent of sage to cleanse your energetic field, bringing you back to your center. 2. Fire Release + Flower Offering What you need : Small fire-safe bowl, paper, pen, dried cedar or sage, and a few fresh flowers. How to do it : Write down a pattern or belief you’re ready to release. Burn it in the bowl (safely), allowing the flames to symbolically purify the energy. Offer the flowers outdoors in gratitude for your rebirth, whispering a new intention into the breeze. For the poets out there, you may choose to write or read a poem to deepen your connection with the energy of the Pink Moon. This one was written to honor the magic of Roses and Nasturtiums… symbols of heart-healing and courageous renewal, and to celebrate the Peruvian Lilies blooming in the garden, beloved by both my grandfather and my mama. Their presence feels like a blessing from beyond, a reminder that we are always surrounded by love as we let go, begin again, and bloom. Here is mine: Fire and Flower Offering A Pink Moon Poem of Renewal Roses bloom with whispers sweet, Carrying secrets from hearts complete. Nasturtiums blaze in fearless light, Calling our courage into the night. Peruvian lilies gently sway. Echoes of ancestors guide my way. Their petals whisper stories, ancient and pure, Their wisdom a light, steady and sure. With every flame, I set down the past, With every flower, I rise at last. The garden listens, the moon aligns… My soul, like spring, reclaims its signs. I bloom in balance. I open. I shine. Journal Prompts for Alchemical Reflection Set aside quiet time, light a candle, and write with curiosity - leave judgment behind. What emotional truth am I finally ready to face and honor? Which part of me has been hiding in the shadows, waiting to be seen and loved? What would it feel like to live as the most radiant, aligned version of myself? Divine Feminine Archetypes to Explore These powerful beings offer guidance through emotional depth, personal alchemy, and spiritual awakening: Lilith : An ancient figure of sovereignty and shadow integration, Lilith invites you to reclaim your power, embrace your wholeness… including the parts once shamed or silenced, and stand fully in your truth. She is ideal for this moon’s call to face hidden aspects of self with fierce grace. Inanna : The Sumerian goddess of love, war, and the underworld, Inanna’s myth of descent and return mirrors the Scorpio journey: moving into the depths, surrendering what no longer serves, and emerging reborn. She teaches us how to let go with dignity and rise with power. Saint Teresa of Ávila : A mystic and spiritual reformer, Teresa’s writings speak of divine ecstasy and inner transformation through contemplation. She embodies the beauty of emotional surrender and spiritual rebirth through communion with the sacred. Take some time this week to learn about the woman whose story resonates with you! Sacred Mantra "I welcome the dark to reveal the light. I am the alchemist of my own becoming." Repeat it during breathwork, journaling, or as you fall asleep under the moon’s watchful eye. Beloved, as you stand under the Flower Moon’s silvery glow, remember: you are both the garden and the gardener. You hold the power to weed, to plant, to bloom again - always. May this full moon guide you into the sacred alchemy of your becoming. Wrapping you in love and divine moonbeams, Photo by Joseph Bradshaw on Unsplash
