  • Full Moon Bath Ritual

I am away this month, preparing for the arrival of the newest member of our family. The baby is due any day now and we are all hoping for a Full Moon Baby! The Full Moon is known as a time to release and let go. She illuminates the darkest of corners, making it a perfect time to shine light into your own life and assess what is and isn’t working. Enjoy this process of preparing, soaking, and reflecting! 1. Clear and Create Sacred Space Clean your space with intention. Clear everything from around your tub and only put back that which adds divine energy. Consider sprinkling in sacred sensuality with candles, music, and incense. 2. Prepare Your Bath Water Whether you are a fan of bubbles, salts, or oils - choose your scent based on the feelings you want to feel more of in the month ahead. Do you seek to feel more confident, more loved, more patient, or more at peace? Think on this and then do a quick search to pair it with an essential oil/scent that will support your vision. If you have moon water left over from last month, add some of that to your water. Save a little to pour over yourself while you are in the water. 3. Gather Crystals and Nature’s Beauty You chose the scent to support the feelings you wanted to feel more in the month ahead - now it is time to gather crystals that will amplify them for you. Some of my favorite crystals for my Full Moon Baths are quartz (spiritual growth), amethyst (spiritual healing, calmness, and wisdom), moonstone (inner clarity, cyclical change, and a connection to the feminine), and citrine (clarity, positivity and optimism). Flower petals or a bouquet of herbs are also lovely additions to your experience. 4. Layer in Luxury Luxury means something different to each of us. I enjoy soothing my skin with a deliciously scented facial masque, preparing a freshly washed and warm towel, and laying out a soft goddess gown to slip into after my bath make my experience feel special. Think about what would make your experience special and gather those items. Use the energy from the water and crystals to generate your vision. What am I seeing? What am I ready to release? What do I desire to create? 5. Scribe Your Gratitude As the water fills your tub, take a moment to write a list or letter of gratitude. What are you thankful for in your life - right now? Let it pour out onto the page as the tub fills up. 6. Journal Your Vision Before you go on with the rest of your Full Moon ritual and ceremony, please take time to write down your vision and the answers that were downloaded to you during your soak. 7. Nourish Your Skin Take the time to nourish your skin now. Coconut oil is my favorite ingredient for this part of the ceremony. I'll be adding in a little Pink Pepper, Rose, and Vanilla essential oil. This is a delicious part of the self-love ritual, so be sure to savor each body part. As you rub in the oil, thank your body for her strength, grace, and love - even in those moments, you were not loving to her. She deserves your attention and is grateful for it. 8. Carry Your Crystals The crystals you used are now divine generators of your vision. Carry them in your pockets and let them be a reminder of the visions you cast while in your Full Moon Bath. Goddess Sister, I pray you are able to find sacred time to bless yourself with this ritual. xxoo, Photo by Timothy Dykes on Unsplash

  • June New Moon Goddess Bath

It’s a New Moon Day and that means the next few days will be filled with intention setting, goddess bath rituals, and meditation. Every New Moon offers new beginnings and a chance to look at things from a different perspective. Cancer is a Cardinal Water sign and encourages us to assess our emotional stability and security, as well as the foundation our lives stand upon. Right now, this is paramount - for so many reasons. This month, I am feeling the pull to slow down, listen to the voice inside, rest, and tend to my mental health... and that, to me, is a divine calling to design a Goddess Bath experience for myself. My Goddess Bath rituals are intimate, spiritual baths that I weave together with ceremonies using special herbs, flowers, essential oils, light, and prayerful intentions. Bathing in this manner on and near the New Moon is a symbolic act of cleansing the body, mind, soul, and spirit of anything you are ready to release and preparing yourself to manifest opportunities in the month ahead. These bathing rituals are luscious and luxurious and should be experienced at a slower pace than usual. Depending on your desired intention and ingredients, they will assist you in feeling more confident, peaceful, exhilarated, focused, etc. My 13 divinely feminine steps to preparing my Summer Goddess New Moon Bathing Ritual: 1. Clean the tub and surrounding areas. Starting with a fresh space is key to being able to fully relax and savor the experience. While you are clearing this space, begin thinking about the feeling you want to feel more of in the month ahead. 2. Make sure to have a freshly washed and dried robe and warm towels to make it extra special when you get out of the bath. I love using yellow towels and citrus-colored gowns to honor the Sun and Summer. 3. Choose your mood-setting music. I have a few playlists prepared for these occasions and highly recommend you do the same. Here is a New Moon Meditation option to inspire you. 4: Prepare your post-soak meditation space. I gather my yoga mat with pillows, extra towels, and a soft sheet to keep my space cool. If the temps are high, I will also have a fan or AC on to keep the space comfortable. 5: Assemble your post-soak tray with your special candles, incense, palo santo, essential oils, flowers and/or flower petals, and any other special items you use when you meditate. Gather your summer-inspire crystals, too. For me, that means my Aquamarine, Orange Calcite, Tiger Eye, Amber, Bumblebee Jasper, and Citrine. Be sure to include a big glass of ice water to keep you hydrated or a lovely herbal/peppermint tea. 6. Bring together what you will need while you are soaking - your journal, pen, candles for around the tub, fresh flowers/petals, music, bubble bath or a bath bomb, and any of the essential oils you chose to support the feelings you are seeking to manifest. 7. While you are filling your tub with water, breathe deeply - in and out, add in your favorite bubble bath and slowly start lighting the candles around the tub. If you have a singing bowl play it and soak in the sounds. If you have any charged Moon Water, now is a wonderful time to add it to your bathwater. As you gently stir the bubbly water in a clockwise motion to mix it all together, recite this: I am divinely protected at this moment. As I set my intentions, my Soul is making room for all that is to come. I boldly own my own magic and light. I release the need for external validation and will let myself shine brightly. I honor the purpose residing in me and I am open to receiving love, joy, and abundance. 8: When the bath is ready, disrobe slowly and hang or lay your robe aside with intention. 9: While you are soaking in the bath, think of things you are ready to release, something that has served its purpose and you are ready to let go. You want this ritual to wash away any thoughts or feelings that don’t serve your intention. If you are comfortable putting your head under the water, do a full plunge for a personal baptism moment to seal the cleansing ceremony. 10: When you’re ready, grab your journal and write out your intentions for the month ahead. Use first-person language - as you are claiming they have already happened! Scribe out as many details as you’d like, including the gratitude you feel for the blessings in your life. 11: Stay in the tub as you let the water drain. Repeat this until the water is completely gone. I release all that no longer serves my soul’s calling or growth I wash it away so that I may start anew With a renewed focus on embracing peace in this process. I look forward to the possibilities. In perfect time In perfect alignment And so it is. As the last drops leave the tub - end it with Amen. Aho. Blessed Be. (Or whatever your favorite closing to prayer is!) When you are ready to exit the bathtub, grab your towel and wrap it around you. Do not rub your body dry, rather let your skin air dry while you are relaxing in your prepared post-soak meditation space. Rest in this sacred space with the music and candlelight as long as you’d like - meditating on the intentions you set while soaking. 12: Take the time to nourish your skin now. 13: When you are ready, slip into your goddess gown or robe and reflect on the inspiration and insight that came to you during your ritual. Goddess Sister, I pray you are able to find sacred time to bless yourself with this ritual. xxoo, ps. As always, please be sure to extinguish all of the candles before you fall asleep! • June's Full Strawberry SuperMoon

The Strawberry Full Supermoon will be its fullest at 4:52am PT on June 14th. June’s Full Moon is named for the wild, ripe, and bountiful strawberry harvest that typically occurs this time of year. June’s Strawberry Moon spiritual meaning embodies the magic and fullness of life. Fun facts: Did you know that strawberries are known as a divine food of LOVE and they represent the goddess Freya? As I often share, please take some time tonight to set out your water, skincare, essential oils, favorite crystals, rings, and other baubles… I also set out creative tools I use like my pens, journal, paints, glasses, etc. Charge them all under these divine moonbeams! Everything I am reading is reminding us to be intentional under this Full Moon’s majesty! Find some quiet time over the next few days to focus on really honoring your favorite spiritual or creative practices. Invest some extra moments in meditation, journaling, drawing, writing poetry (haikus are a favorite of mine!), taking a walk in the rain, strolling on the sandy beach, or coloring in your favorite color book. Consider journaling using one or both of these prompts: 1: What do I want to do this summer? Whatever you are dreaming of - be super specific in this exercise - including how you will feel while you are doing each activity! 2: Which of the goals and intentions I set during the Winter have I accomplished? Write out anything that may be holding you back and celebrate how far you have come! Intentionally surround yourself with the colors that reflect the Strawberry Full Moon - red, orange, yellow, and pink. I plan to spend time learning more about my citrine and rose quartz crystals, as well. If you have a local strawberry farm, go and pick some - fresh off the vine. Short on time? You can keep it simple and purchase fresh organic strawberries from your local market. Be sure to take a moment to truly enjoy their beauty. Gaze at all of the little seeds popping out of the vibrant red skin… and delight in each scrumptious, juicy bite while sitting beneath the Full Moon. Gather your sisterhood together and serve Strawberry Daiquiris or Margueritas and dance under the moonlight. Strawberries remind me of my Grandma K, so I will be savoring strawberries over a little vanilla ice cream - just as she served them to Grandpa and me. What is your favorite way to snack on these delish berries? I would love to know! Happy Moon Beam Catching, Beloved! xxoo, Pink Clouds w/ Moon photo by Jake Weirick on Unsplash Daiquiri photo by aliet kitchen on Unsplash Strawberry photo by Artur Rutkowski on Unsplash ps. There are so many alternative names for this month’s moon… According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, other Native American peoples gave different names to the June full moon, including the Blooming Moon (Anishinaabe), Green Corn Moon (Cherokee), Hoer Moon (Western Abenaki), Birth Moon (Tlingit), Egg Laying Moon or Hatching Moon (Cree). It is also called the Mead Moon (Celtic), Summer Starting Moon (daa’za-mea’) Shoshone Great Basin, Nevada, Wyoming, Hot Weather Begins Moon (Ponca Southern Plains), Harpa or Skerpla Moon (Ancient Norse), Moon of the Turtle (msheke’kesis) Potawatomi Great Lakes, Rose Moon (European), Planting Moon (European), Moon of Birthing (Ignivik) Inupiat Language, North Slope, Alaska, and Honey Moon (European)!

  • Reclaiming Friday the 13th * May Lunar Eclipse Super Flower Full Moon

The next three days are FILLED with divine feminine energy. Today is Friday the 13th, and this weekend is the Lunar Eclipse Super Flower Full Moon! Let's start with Friday the 13th. Friday the 13th is a day that is traditionally feared. It involves spooky black cats, avoiding ladders, men in hockey masks killing dingbat campers, etc. These things never scared me, and the gore never entertained me. Actually, I love black cats - especially those with green eyes . I fancy myself blessed when I see them! I have a statue of one under my desk that belonged to my Grandma... Tempest keeps me company while I create. :) Next to the number 11... 13 is the number I see all the time. Did you know that Friday the 13th was considered the day to honor Feminine Energy prior to patriarchal times? It was considered a day to celebrate the Divine Feminine, honor the goddess that lives in us, and respect the powerful cycles of creation, death, and rebirth! Many are reclaiming the origins of this day and celebrating it as a very powerful day to manifest, honor creativity, and celebrate beauty, wisdom, and nourishment of the soul. If you join Molly and me on Tuesdays for Spill the Tea , you know we love learning the origin stories and understanding the context of these celebrations. For instance, did you know that Friday has long been associated with Venus? She’s a divine archetype for all things feminine and sensual and creative. The name Friday comes from Old English and literally means 'day of Frigg'! Frigg is the Norse goddess of love, fertility, and motherhood. She is often seen as the same being as Freya, goddess of beauty, fertility, sex, and war. SO MANY RED THREADS HERE! Then there is 13 - a divinely feminine number. Why? In part, it is the number of moon cycles each year, and our cycles as women flow with those 13 moon cycles. The moon itself represents feminine energy and is connected to and can have a pull on the emotions and sensitivities of humanity. Put this all together - and voila! As with many SACRED feminine ceremonies, rituals, and cycles - when society switched from matriarchal to patriarchal - these sacred things were no longer honored or respected. Even the divine cycle of women was made “impure and unclean” and something they were forced to hide. Our feminine nature and ways were now feared because they were unknown. The male leaders jumbled those letters, and sacred became SCARED . Personally, I am leaning in, reclaiming, and celebrating this day! Below you will find a lovely evening ritual I encourage you to create in your home this weekend. Now, let's talk about the Lunar Eclipse Super Flower Full Moon happening on May 15-16. According to EarthSky , the Moon will glow a scarlet color during this year's first total lunar eclipse on Sunday -- a stark contrast to its ordinarily milky white sheen. A partial eclipse will begin at 10:27 p.m. ET Sunday, with the total lunar eclipse starting at 11:29 p.m. ET. The total eclipse will end at 12:53 a.m. ET Monday and the partial eclipse will end at 1:55 a.m. ET Monday. While I would normally have my water, baubles, crystals, pens, journals, glasses, skincare, and more out soaking in moonbeams and positive energy, a lunar eclipse carries chaotic energy. I don't know about you, but I don't need additional chaos in my life. ;) Instead, I will be focusing on the ritual below. Eclipses are harbingers of change — they usher in evolution. During a lunar eclipse, the shadow of the Earth falls across the face of the Moon bringing unconscious feelings to the surface, grounding them in reality. Lunar eclipses are culminations of emotional cycles that have run their course, and they encourage us to let go of emotions and attachments that are no longer serving us. The lunar eclipse will be an extremely powerful time for cleansing our emotional waters and setting intentions for renewal and rejuvenation in the coming months because the energetic cycles of the lunar eclipse tend to extend through the period of next three months after its event. In a lunar eclipse, the sun momentarily blocks the illumination that creates a full moon, resetting the current emotional cycle and allowing the shadow to reveal what is hidden in our subconscious or keeping us blocked from seeing more clearly. The spiritual aspects of the moon represent our deep emotional tides, and so when the shadow passes over the moon, temporarily ceasing the illumination of our emotional being, there is an opportunity to reveal and transform our current emotional state. A 13-step ritual to revel in this weekend: 1: Set the mood by finding a quiet, cozy place. Your bedroom would be ideal. 2: Brew yourself a cup or small pot of tea and use your favorite teacup. 3: Light a few candles. Use matches if you have them, and pay attention to the sound of the strike. 4: Choose and apply essential oils to your wrists and neck or burn incense infused with herbs or plants traditionally associated with Venus, like rose, jasmine, or vanilla . 5: Grab your yoga mat or lay out a blanket, sit down, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Identify any self-limiting or negative thoughts, write them down, and bid them farewell. You can do a burning ceremony - if you wish. I shared this process in this post . 6: Pull out your journal and write down positive affirmations and divine declarations, like, “I am love” and “I am abundance." that help you REPLACE those negative thoughts you are releasing. A couple on replay for me: I am walking into the healthiest, wealthiest, most-joyful version of myself I have ever seen. Everything I desire is coming to me because everything I desire is already in me. Everything is always working out for me. 7: Grab a pad of sticky notes or a dry erase pen, add the affirmations to your bathroom mirror, and create a recurring calendar appointment to hold them in the notes so that you can revisit each morning/evening. Surrounding yourself with these words will help you attract the energy and abundance you seek by focusing on being love. 8: The next step is practicing self-love and self-care. Pull your hair back and soak into your nightly skincare routine. Slow down and really appreciate how good that warm washcloth feels and how delicious the moisturizer feels as you massage your face with it. I love using Frankincense on my skin... it nourishes it and smells so divine! 9: Repeat those affirmations on your mirror as you look deep into your eyes and smile at your reflection. Let the words flow into, over, and through you. 10: Now, grab your coconut oil (or fave lotion) and give your whole body some extra love... add in some lavender oil and end by concentrating on your feet. If you have a lover, bring them into this part of the ritual - if you wish. 11: Head back to your yoga mat, sit tall, and breathe in and out - repeating your affirmations. 12: Crawl under the covers, pull out your journal, and add in any additional thoughts or affirmations that came to mind during your meditation moments. 13: Snuggle in and sleep well tonight! Enjoy implementing this lovely new ritual and reclaiming the Divine Feminine! xxoo, Source Posts: The Spiritual Significance of Friday the 13th How the Patriarchy Stole Friday the 13th from Women and Made It Evil Clipboard Photo by micheile dot com on Unsplash Blood Moon Photo by Altınay Dinç on Unsplash Cover Image by Bryan Goff on Unsplash

  • New Moon + Planting Intentions Ritual

This weekend is going to be magical. We have a New Moon, Solar Eclipse, and Beltane (aka May Day) - the springtime festival of optimism - all happening! New moons often serve up plenty of hopefulness, excitement, and expectation. When they coincide with a solar eclipse, those emotions can quickly feel incredibly heightened and potentially overwhelming. To celebrate all of the events and keep grounded, I would like to invite you to join me in a special intention setting ritual and a low-key weekend filled with self-care including aromatherapy, delicious, healthy meals, and gently move your body through yoga or simple stretching. Preparing Your Space + Self: 🔥 Create a quiet, cozy, beautiful spot to sit. Take time to prepare this space with items that make you comfortable like pillows, blankets, a fan/heater… you get the idea. Most importantly, focus on infusing love and peace as you create the space. 🔥 Choose comfy clothes. My go-to is one of my goddess gowns… choose something flowy that doesn’t bind. 🔥 Carve out as much quiet, alone time as you can. 🔥 Turn on some meditation music. 🔥 Light some candles and, if you use incense or palo santo - light that, as well. 🔥 Pour a luscious libation like your favorite tea from Intentionaliteas or a Wild Woman Water. Gather These Items: 🌱 A houseplant - new or one ready to be transplanted 🌱 Fun pot to plant it in 🌱 Potting soil 📝 Piece(s) of Paper 🖋 Pen 📔 Your journal I also love to include my favorite cards! Once you have this all set, it is time to unfurl your soul. 1: Start by taking deep breaths. I continue to recommend Meggan Watterson’s guided breathwork here. Once you feel centered, explore these journal prompts. The feeling I would like to feel more of in the month ahead is: The project I would most like to start or finish this month is: 2: Write out a custom affirmation that will help you manifest those feelings and the focus to finish that project! For example, if you want more joy and to start your book… ”I will enjoy moments of joy as I write today.” If you would like help writing custom affirmations, you can download my Custom Affirmations Guide here. Use the code Divine50 to save 50%. 3: Grab that extra piece of paper and write out a combined intention that weaves together the feeling you want to feel and the thing you would like to start/finish this month. Write it in your journal, as well, so you remember what you wrote on the paper. :) 4: Gather the houseplant, pot, and soil. Pour some of the soil into the pot, and place your intention in the soil followed by the houseplant. Fill up the pot with extra soil. 5: Place any special rocks, crystals, maybe even a special little statue in the soil with the plant. 6: Water it - if you have any divinely charged moon water - use that. As you water it - speak the intention out loud. Leave a bottle of your moon water near and use it to water throughout the month. If you don’t have any left - be sure to charge some - the Full Moon is ideal, but all moonbeams are sent by God. 7: If you have a singing bowl, add water to the bowl… play it, repeating the intention, and then water the plant with that water, as well. 8: Every day, visit the plant and speak your intention over it. Have fun with your plant- sing to it, share prayers with it, play the singing bowl for it, dance around it… raise the vibration as you speak your intention - out loud! God is always listening… I am praying this ritual of intentionally connecting with the earth will be healing and rejuvenating. Amen. Aho. Blessed Be. Plant photo by micheile dot com on Unsplash

  • April Full Pink Moon. Red Eggs. Mary Magdalene.

The Full Pink Moon is happening this weekend - alongside a solar flare AND the Christian festival of Easter. This Full Moon is in Libra - the scale. A wonderful gift from our Creator that reminds us to shine a light on both sides of every situation. Weigh your options and your responses carefully… Should I stay or should I go? I will be singing this gem from The Clash all weekend! Gather your journaling tools and invest some time with these journal prompts. If you have time, set up your space with a candle and/or incense. Take 3 cleansing breaths to center your thoughts. I love Meggan Watterson’s guided breathwork here . What new things/people did I let into my life this last month? How do they make me feel? I am proud of myself for stepping into my power when _____________. A beautiful blessing to speak out loud: ‘Every moment, I walk into my dream life. I surrender to the road and the process. I release all energy that no longer serves me or my highest purpose. I rejoice in the freedom as I distance myself from energies that no longer match my highest vibration. I am grateful for the lessons learned in my past challenges and now call in abundance and positivity for the month ahead.” Beloved, be sure to set out your water vessels, baubles, journals, pens, skincare, and other creative items to charge under the divine moonbeams! In honor of the Easter aspect of this weekend, along with my love of rituals and passion for telling the story of Mary Magdalene to anyone who will listen - this post is also dedicated to her and the Red Egg. This weekend, disciples of Jesus - those who truly, deeply follow The Way he taught while walking this planet - celebrate the resurrection. It is a weekend filled with reflection and celebration of miracles and a reminder that the same power that conquered the grave is also inside each of us… on Earth and it is in Heaven. Over the years, I uncover more and more about Mary Magdalene or Mary of Magdala. Since I was a young girl, she has always had a special place in my heart. I can remember the joy I felt when the pastor would read that SHE was the first one Jesus showed himself to after the resurrection! A woman! Mary is mentioned 12 times in the New Testament - making her the second most mentioned woman, after Mary of Nazareth. I voraciously consume books about her life, including my favorites " Mary Magdalene Revealed " by Meggan Watterson and Dr. Karen King's The Gospel of Mary of Magdala: Jesus and the First Woman Apostle. There is also a chapter dedicated to her in Sophie Bashford’s book “ You Are A Goddess ”. Molly and I talk about her on Spill the Tea ALL THE TIME. You can catch some of those episodes here . As I confidently step into embracing and becoming a feminist theologian (which means I read and engage with Scripture through the eyes of a woman) I am constantly in awe of the stories hidden from me - until now. While researching Mary Magdalene's life and other female disciples - I’ve learned so many stories left out of the formalized Christian Bible by the Nicean Council - comprised of men on a mission to conquer and control. For instance, unlike other women in the Bible, Mary of Magdala is not identified in relation to another person; she is not anyone’s mother, wife, or sister. Instead, she is called Mary of Magdala, a title that implies some prominence in the city, a center of commercial fishing on the northwest bank of the Sea of Galilee. She left her home to follow Jesus, and it is believed she was among several well-off, independent women who financially supported Jesus’ ministry. It is thrilling learning the other side of the story - the half not represented in the books the religious leaders chose to represent the stories and teachings. I finally feel that longing in my heart is being filled. It is indescribable. I think a lot about Mary Magdalene and how during this last week, her Koinonos (Greek word for companion) and Rabonni (teacher) was arrested, tortured, and crucified for His beliefs by political and church leaders. Her beloved Jesus walked this planet showing everyone living and those not yet conceived The Way. I imagine how they must have looked at one another with so much love and longing and deep suffering... it’s heartbreaking and so divinely beautiful - all in one. It was Mary’s deep abiding love for Jesus that kept her standing there at the foot of the cross, weeping and grief-stricken until her koinonos took his final breath. It was the heartbreaking pain of loss that drove her to his tomb at the first light of day in order to anoint his body. She is the person to whom Jesus first appeared on Easter Sunday morning. She was the very first witness of the Resurrection. It was Mary, a woman, who went and told the Apostles that Jesus had risen from the dead; for this, she is called "Apostle to the Apostles". In the Gospel of Philip we read “The Lord,” he says, “loved Mary more than the disciples and he often kissed her on the mouth …” And Peter said, “Sister, we know that the Lord has loved you differently from other women. ‘he said to you, which you remember and we do not know about … […] Is it possible that the Lord has spoken with a woman about secrets we do not know about? […] he really chose and preferred to us?“ She clearly held a special place in Jesus’ heart and soul. I've also learned how she continued her mission as an evangelist, contemplative, and divine mystic in the heart of the early Christian movement. Yes, a woman was preaching, although you would never know it sitting in most church services still today. (hard eye roll) According to tradition, after Jesus' Ascension into heaven, Mary Magdalene boldly presented herself to Emperor Tiberius Caesar in Rome to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with a white egg in hand to illustrate her message. “Christ is risen,” she said. “New life rising from a sealed tomb, just as new life rises from a sealed egg.” The emperor mocked her and said Jesus had no more risen than the egg in her hand was red. Immediately, the egg turned red as a sign from God to illustrate the truth of her message. The Emperor then heeded her complaints about Pilate condemning an innocent man to death and had Pilate removed from Jerusalem under imperial displeasure. Thus, why we color eggs! This weekend, I will be dyeing eggs red in the traditional Greek way - with onion skins. I will lovingly wrap them with herbs before submerging them. You can see from the image of the ones I made last year here how stunning they are. They truly take my breath away. You can join me if you wish. Direction here . I will close with this soulful plea. Please do your own research on what you have been taught. Do not abdicate this powerful act to others. Mary’s story teaches us exactly why this is so important. It is believed that in such a misogynistic, patriarchal society, the decline of Mary of Magdala’s reputation as an Apostle and leader likely started shortly after her death. However, it wasn’t until centuries later that her transformation from a woman of means, Yeshua’s koinonos, and a founding member of “The Church” to a penitent prostitute was sealed. On 9/14/1591, Pope Gregory the Great gave a homily in Rome that pronounced that Mary Magdalene, Luke’s unnamed sinner, and Mary of Bethany were, indeed, the same person. THIS IS FALSE. Please please please stop repeating this untruth. Shake off the shame if you have repeated it and DO BETTER by her and Jesus going forward. Pick up a copy of Mary Magdalene Revealed . Read Mary’s Gospel. Get to know the woman Jesus taught alongside and loved. I pray this inspires you to dig deeper into the traditions you carry forward each year. xxoo,

  • New Moon Goddess Bathing Ritual

It’s a New Moon Day and that means the next few days will be filled with intention setting, goddess bath rituals, and meditation. It is no secret how much I love a divine soak in a hot bubbly bath. I am often asked about my bath rituals, so let me share a bit more about my process. Goddess bath rituals are intimate, spiritual baths weaved together with ceremonies using special herbs, flowers, essential oils, light, and prayerful intentions. My 13 divinely feminine steps to preparing my Goddess New Moon Bathing Ritual: 1. Clean the tub and surrounding areas. Starting with a fresh space is key to being able to fully relax and savor the experience. 2. Make sure to have a freshly washed and dried robe and warm towels to make it extra special when you get out of the bath. 3. Prepare your post-soak meditation space. I use my yoga mat with pillows, extra towels, and a soft sheet or light blanket to cover me if it gets chilly. 4: Choose your mood-setting music. I have a few playlists prepared for these occasions and highly recommend you do the same. 5: Assemble a tray with your special candles, incense, palo santo, crystals, essential oils, flowers and/or flower petals, and any other special items you use when you meditate. Be sure to include a big glass of ice water to keep you hydrated. A lovely herbal tea would do, as well. 6. Arrange a tray for your soaking time with your journal, pen, candles for around the tub, fresh flowers/petals, music, bubble bath or a bath bomb, and the essential oils to support the feelings you are seeking to manifest. You may also need a heat-safe bowl with water in it, so prep that as well - just in case. 7. While you are filling your tub with water, breathe deeply - in and out, add in your favorite bubble bath and slowly start lighting the candles around the tub. If you have any charged Moon Water, now is a wonderful time to add it to your bathwater. As you gently stir the bubbly water in a clockwise motion to mix it all together, recite this: I am divinely protected in this moment. As I set my intentions, my Soul is making room for all that is to come. I boldly own my own magic and light. I release the need for external validation and will let myself shine brightly. I honor the purpose residing in me and I am open to receiving love, joy, and abundance. 8: When the bath is ready, disrobe slowly and lay your robe aside with intention. For example, if your intention for this moon cycle is to start a new business, concentrate on letting go of limitations like, "I’m not good enough. My product isn’t good enough. No one will hire me. There aren’t enough clients to sustain me.” Get those OUT of your head - release them immediately. 10: When you’re ready, grab your journal and write out your intentions for the month ahead. Use first personal language - as you are claiming they have already happened! Scribe out as many details as you’d like, including the gratitude you feel for the blessings in your life. If those self-limiting thoughts are creeping in - write those down on another piece of paper and BURN IT (safely) in that bowl of water you prepared. 11: When you are ready to exit the bathtub, grab your warm towel and wrap it around you. Do not rub your body dry, rather let your skin air dry while you are relaxing in your prepared post-soak meditation space. Rest in this sacred space with the music and candlelight as long as you’d like - meditating on the intentions you set while soaking. 12: Take the time to nourish your skin now. Coconut oil is my favorite ingredient for this part of the ceremony. This is a delicious part of the self-love ritual, so be sure to savor each body part. As you rub in the oil, thank your body for her strength, grace, and love - even in those moments you were not loving to her. She deserves your attention and is grateful for it. 13: When you are ready, slip into your goddess gown or robe and reflect on the inspiration and insight that came to you during your ritual. Goddess, I pray you are able to find sacred time to bless yourself with this ritual over the weekend. xxoo, ps. Be sure to extinguish all of the candles before you fall asleep! • Happy Spring Equinox!

Spring is here! Let's breathe together. Deep breath in... Cleaning, releasing breath out... Repeat 3 times. Join me in a lioness roar as you do your final releasing breath out. The inspiring Spring Equinox energy is encouraging me to embrace this new beginning. How about you? This energy is here to fuel our growth as the days get longer and the sun grows warmer. Let’s not miss this moment. Want to do some writing today? Here are some divine journal prompts: 1: What have I been dreaming of doing all winter that I’m ready to start this spring? 2: What conversations are currently inspiring me and setting my soul on fire? 3: What ideas have come out of those conversations that want to bring to life? 4: What or where do I need to grow in order to bring balance to my life? Now, take a moment to reflect… Review your answers and look for recurring themes. Are there self-limiting beliefs, relationships, or dreams (that were never really yours) holding you back that you know it’s time to let go? Beloved, my entire life I have been fascinated by the stories of women in mythology. These women represent incredible archetypes that reside in us today. Though many of their stories were altered by men over the years to serve their misogynistic visions - original texts are being uncovered and highlighted every day and light is shining on the truth. I also love learning about the origins of many of the holidays I have been celebrating my entire life and today holds both. Earlier this month, I started to read “Walking with Persephone” by Molly Remer again. You can get the book from Womancraft Publishing or Molly's Etsy store - Brigid's Grove. The flow of the book begins in Spring and March because Persephone’s story is woven into this time of year. (If you have already learned about Persephone, you can read all about the Sumerian Goddess Inanna who also makes the journey from the underworld!) On this day, Persephone comes up from her winter in the underworld. Her mother Demeter, the Earth Goddess, rejoices at her return and all the plants start to grow again. In the oldest version of the myth, Persephone chooses to go down. Like Inanna, she “inclines her ear to the great below.” In both stories, these women release what holds them back and embrace their wisdom as they rise up to where they can share all they have learned with their beloveds. These women teach us that: 🌀 without deep incubation there is no birth - of life or ideas 🌀 life-changing lessons abound when we are in the fire… learnings that allow us to rise to higher levels 🌀 we are able to heal and move into new ways of being when we honor our pain and grief 🌀 we will not mature into the divine wisdom and empowerment of our Sage while we desperately grasp to remain young 🌀 without the dormancy of winter there would be no blossoming in spring Let this wash over you. Find what resonates - let it seep into your bones and release the rest. Oh, and then there are these AHA moments. The Pagan name for the day - Ostara - comes from the name of a Teutonic Goddess of fertility, Oestre. Her name is also the root for the Christian religion's Easter, and Estrogen. Yes - the female hormone. The date of the Christian Holiday Easter is based on Passover, from the Jewish lunar calendar. Easter, which celebrates resurrection, is held on the first Sunday after the Full Moon after the Spring Equinox. Because it is a celebration of the rebirth of Nature’s fertility, eggs and bunnies are woven into these events. Beloved, take time to renew yourself – your thoughts, your patterns, your health, your dreams, your relationships, your rituals… breathe new life into them! 🌱 Plan a meal with lots of fresh foods today. Be sure to seek out locally grown veggies and herbs! 🌱 Let your dreams see the light of day and begin to take steps towards them. 🌱 Shake off the remnants of winter by moving. Dance in the green grass, row across a lake with your lover, take a walk in nature and pick some flowers, or infuse yoga and meditation into your day… Whatever makes your soul sing - do that! I’ll close today with a verse from Molly’s book. It’s the “First Task” she shares in March: The first task in rebuilding your soul is to allow a wide margin for magic. Amen. Aho. And so it is. xxoo, ps. Listen in to an interview of Molly Remer on this Spill the Tea episode. Apple Podcast Featured Photo by Nicolette Meade on Unsplash

  • February Full Snow Moon

Ready to learn about the Full Snow Moon and uncover some fun ways to soak in the divine energy? First, the name Snow Moon was given to this month’s moon because it occurs in one of the coldest times of the year. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, like many other full moons, this one has a variety of names. “It’s also known as the Storm or Hunter Moon; the Wolf or Candles Moon; the Bald Eagle Moon or Eagle Moon; Bear Moon or Black Bear Moon. The Dakota called this the Raccoon Moon, and certain Algonquin peoples named it the Groundhog Moon. The Haida named it Goose Moon” It will appear full for about three days around this time, from about midnight Tuesday morning to about midnight Thursday night. If you charge moon water or like to put out your bits and baubles, charge your crystals and creative tools - now is the time. The Full Moon is connected to the season of Summer, the stage of Mother in womanhood, and a woman’s ovulation cycle. Because a Full Moon is considered the “energetic peak” of the month, it’s the perfect time to tap into its power and practice sublime self-care. You may be in the mood for deep breathing in nature, quiet time to explore your creativity thru art or writing, maybe simplifying your space is exactly what you need. You decide and carve out the time on your calendar this week. Here are 5 additional ways you soak in the energy and power of this moon: 1. Vibe High. Look Inside. Take an inventory of where in your life you could level up. Harness the power of Leo energy… the kind that is willing to stand in the gap for others and open to taking a chance with everyone else plays it safe. Summon your courage and flip your fears. Try out being the magnanimous Leo-like leader you know is inside and express its highest vibration. 2. Move Your Body. Shake your booty to “ Hips Don’t Lie ” with the divinely spicey Shakira… or do a Shaking Meditation with Yoga Girl®. The last few weeks have been filled with getting things done, being social, and setting new intentions. Now it is time to shake the heavy residual energy off and celebrate all you have accomplished. 3. Be bold. Launch It. Do you have a project you have been holding on to “until after the pandemic is over”? It’s time to stop waiting for normal to return and start looking at the present. Use the energy of this vivacious Leo Moon to start your podcast, send your book to the editor, or start that side business that has been calling you. 4. Connect without Comparison. Write a list of the people you want to reconnect with over the next four weeks. Hop on over to social media to see what they’ve been up to and pepper in what you saw to personalize your invites to get together. Regardless of if you are able to get together in person or not - be sure to clear your mind and reset before your time together. Leave your worries and negative energy “at the door” and lean in with a whole heart to your moments together. Most of all, don’t bring comparison to the table with you. We are all here to live out our own purpose. We are all unique. Celebrate your differences and successes alike. 5. Write It Out. The Full Moon is all about completion and a time to cleanse and release what no longer works for you. This is an ideal time to write down your deepest inner thoughts - those holding you back or keeping you small - and then burn them… safely and securely. This ritual feels SO GOOD! I often journal it all out before I write on my burn papers so I can look back at what I have released and celebrate how far I have come. I would love to know what you have planned to celebrate this month’s Full Moon! Leave me a comment below or send me a message on social. xxoo Cover Photo by Kym MacKinnon on Unsplash

  • March Full Sugar Moon

Oh, how I love the Full Moon. The Full Moon represents a time of expansion, celebration, and completion. It is a wonderful time of the month to schedule quiet time in nature and explore your creativity. The Full Moon is also the perfect time for some inner work. Over the next few days, ask yourself a couple of questions. 1: What is holding me back? 2: What isn’t going according to my plan? (Pull out your guiding word, goals, or resolutions - and review what intentions you set against what you've accomplished.) Now, reflect on how this makes you feel . Then, take some time to journal your negative thoughts . For instance, did you plan to start a new business by March 1 and you’re not close to opening? That may make you feel shameful for the procrastination or guilty that you spent too much money on other things and didn’t save for your business budget. Now, take out some individual slips of paper and write out your negative thoughts. If we use the opening a business example… Your paper might read: “I release the shame of my procrastination.” Write out as many as you’d like. Then, burn each piece of paper. (Safely, please.) My personal process is to gather my thoughts in a quiet place, next to one of my favorite candles or some incense. Once I have journaled my answers, I tear up some paper (or use some of the dried leaves and bark I gathered on my nature walks) and write out the negative, self-limiting thoughts I want to release. Then, fill a “heat safe” bowl with water, add in some herbs (rosemary, lavender, sage, and elements of cedar from my garden are always in my bowl), and burn each slip - focusing on releasing my grip on whatever I wrote. Have a fire pit or fireplace? Those works, too! If you don’t want to use fire - you can simply place them in a water bowl and then bury them! I always repeat this during the ritual: "I release the thoughts that no longer serve me or help me in reaching my highest potential. I am grateful for the lessons each challenge taught me and now call in abundance and positivity for the month ahead.” When you’re ready to end the ceremony - simply close out by saying “And so it is. Amen.” (or whatever language your sacred practice involves) As always, gather your water, baubles, crystals, pens, journals, glasses, skincare, and creative tools to set out so they can soak in the moonbeams and positive energy! Happy Full Moon, Beloved. xxoo This image was posted on one of the groups I'm in on Facebook. It spoke to my soul... praying it resonates with you, as well.

  • March New Moon 2022

I love the journey of harnessing the power of the moon's divine phases… Today is a New Moon and that means the next few days offer the perfect time to clear your mind and design your plans for the upcoming weeks. Here are three things I encourage you to embrace this week: 1: Renew Your Mind What we focus on flourishes. We spend time organizing drawers and closets - clearing out our physical spaces to create space where we can rest and grow in peace. This week, invest some time in renewing your mind. If you don’t already have a sacred space to meditate - grab a tray, put a beautiful piece of fabric or lace from your Grammy, add a candle or some incense, your favorite crystals (my favorites for this cycle are Obsidian and Aquamarine), and a bell or singing bowl to help set your intention and signify when your sacred time begins. Creating your space is a beautiful gift to give yourself. 2: Only Give Your Holiest Yes Practice only saying yes to the holiest, most aligned opportunities for the next week. Once you feel the high of honoring yourself - I dare you to keep it going! One of my favorite filters to use when deciding if it is a holy yes or a hell no is my list of core values. If an opportunity does not honor my values it makes it to the hell no list - immediately. Joyfully take a look at your calendar and decline the hell no events that made their way into your schedule. 3: Honor Your Emotions With everything happening on our planet right now, it can sometimes feel difficult simply getting out of bed. If you need a good cry - run a hot bath, light some candles, and let it out. If you’re ready for a good belly laugh - surround yourself with what brings you joy. For me, animal videos always cheer me up… especially jumping baby goats in pajamas or different animal species loving one another - like this kitty getting a massage from a raccoon! Beloved, once you have had a chance to renew your mind, create room for your holy yes events, and honor your emotions - take a few deep breaths, put on your coziest goddess gown, grab your journal, and write out a few things you would like to accomplish over the next 4 weeks! Use the new moon as a divine moment to plant the seeds of something new. If you created a playlist to support you in honoring your guiding word of the year - now is an excellent time to listen to it. Here is my Sovereignty Playlist. Tired of planning or already completed your planning? Let the new moon inspire you to embrace something that’s outside of your norm and do something you’ve never done before! Sending love and light your way. xxoo Moon/Sky Photo by Robson Hatsukami Morgan on Unsplash Seeds Photo by Daniel Öberg on Unsplash
